Yeah, it’s that cold outside. Apparently it’s not cold enough for Boston to qualify for an advisory, but we do get a special weather statement.
"The Wind Chill Advisory for much of southern New England has expired.What happened to the spring we saw last week? Yeah it was sloppy with all the snow, rain, then snow again…melting all over the sidewalks. Galoshes are donned in weather like that, for days like today it is long johns scarves and an extra hat. This is perhaps the only time of the year bostonist hates to make the walk to the T to get home. If you went outside for lunch you know that the sunny skies haven’t changed the frigid temps and blustery winds. Isn’t there such a thing as too cold to snow? Guess not, Boston has some of that in store for tomorrow. Wear your mittens.
Nonetheless... wind chills remain 10 to 15 degrees below zero... and noaas National Weather Service advises that common sense precautions
to avoid frostbite continue."
