The Two Book Worms Face Off

michael.jpg danny.jpg It seems like only yesterday that The Apprentice popped up in the TV lineup. It was actually only a year ago and now we are headed into season 3 of the Donald, the boardroom, and lots of inappropriately-short skirts for the office. Why should Bostonist care at all? Besides the fact that Thursday are void with the loss of Friends, two of Boston's finest are contestants this season.

First off, Bostonist should mention that this season is "Book Smarts" versus "Street Smarts," which breaks down to one group has college loans and the other does not. Let the catfights and SAT score-comparisons fly!

The first Bostonian is Michael, who is a 25 year old Boston College grad who works in real estate development. A typical contestant for this show. The second Bostonian is Danny, a 39 year old Boston University post-graduate who enjoys writing and performing rockoperas and symphonies. He attempted to motivate his team in the first episode with a song on the guitar.

This one looks like a tough call: will the Donald stick to the norm and just pick another white, middle-to-upper class male for his coveted spot? Probably so, but you could watch to see if he picks the white male with a guitar.

The next episode airs this Thursday night.
