Stir it Up

Bob_Marley.gifIf you’re not in the mood for political shop talk you can skip the Russert presentation at the JFK library and head on over to a presentation by Roger Steffens in honor of what would be Bob Marley’s 60th birthday. Steffens and the Berklee College of Music’s "The Music and Life of Bob Marley" class will present a multimedia presentation at David Friend Recital Hall. The presentation is rumored to include clips from Steffen’s collection of unreleased and rare Marley along with video, audio, and a performance to cap it off.

LA resident Roger Steffens has been a reggae historian and Bob Marley expert for many years. His persona reminds Bostonist of our hippy friend from college’s really cool dad. Berklee brings him in for this presentation in honor of both Black History Month and Marley’s 60th birthday. His birthday would have been February 6, had he not passed on at 36. Sure the trek over to Berklee is nothing like going to Marley’s Zion in Ethiopia or homestead in Jamaica, though it should be a little warmer around Boston today. Bostonist a go learn mon.

Nice to see your factchecking is as good as Gothamist's. But you need to make more typos...

(Psst -- Bob Marley wasn't born in Ethiopia!)
