Once, Twice, Get Out of the Way

sign128.gifA woman was hit by a beer can on Saturday morning, then a bicycle. Both items were reportedly thrown off a third story roof by a 17 year-old from Acton. Getting hit with a beer can is one thing, but a bicycle? Bostonist is a little curious about this line from the AP report:

The woman's boyfriend told police that the couple was walking in front of an apartment building in the city's Allston neighborhood at about 1:25 a.m. Saturday when she was struck with a beer can that came from the roof. The man said a bicycle then fell from the roof, striking the 24-year-old woman in the head and knocking her to the sidewalk.

Hey, guy, Bostonist has some advice for you. Be chivalrous. When your girlfriend is hit in the head with a beer can, block her from the falling bike. How much debris was falling from the roof that night that she was hit with two items, or does this Michigan 24 year old really just have some kind of luck?

seriously. do you know how hard it is to throw things from a roof and actually have them hit their intended targets? it sure does suck to be that woman.
