Queer Eye for the Idiots

A few weeks ago, a story that Kevin Millar was going to be made over by the Fab 5 from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" surfaced and now it appears to have been true...and he's not alone in wanting to get in touch with his feminine side. The Bravo show arrived in Florida today to begin their transformation of six of the World Champion Idiots of Fenway Park. Millar has been joined by fellow teammates Johnny Damon, Bill Mueller, Jason Varitek, Doug Mirabelli, and Tim Wakefield in the transforming television show. Along with shedding those uniforms for some Gucci and Calvin Klein, the boys will be getting some styling tips (too bad Manny won't be there to get his hair done). Bostonist wonders if the Queer Eye Guys will be sprucing up the field and clubhouse for the team...perhaps some striking drapes or leather pillows for the dugout? The crew will be there through Wednesday; the show is suppose to air in June.
Also in Sox news, there were stories about some new music talent hitting up Fenway Park for another yearly concert. Past musicians include Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Buffet. The Herald reported that Mick and the Stones are interested in the annual concert, which will be held on August 21 and 23 this summer. (Boston Herald gossip gals also reported that the Dave Matthews Band and Bon Jovi are also interested in playing.) Mayor Menino has a meeting on March 30 to discuss this year's concert.
