scorsese seems to have gotten out of touch with what he used to do well - the streets. the desperate, alienated characters of Raging Bull and Mean Streets and Taxi Driver have gotten lost in all the epics he's making now. i miss scorsese's grittiness. there's grittiness about boston, but can scorsese really do justice to the area? i get the feeling it could be more scorsese's new york set against a boston backdrop.

I sure hope that Scorcese's adaptation is better than the original. Though Infernal Affairs held my attention, it was far from anything special, in my opinion.
