Feds Hit MS-13
Mara Salvatrucha aka MS 13, one of the largest gangs in North and Central America and yesterday, 103 of its members were arrested by federal immigration officials. Triggered by fears that MS 13 may ally itself with al Qaeda in smuggling people in the US, Operation Community Shield was started. Over the past three weeks the arrests were made in Washington, Virginia, Baltimore, New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Newark, N.J. A third of the arrests were in the DC area where gang violence has been exploding. When this Bostonist lived in DC, MS-13 was warring with the 1-5 Amigos. It seemed a daily occurence that another gangster was stabbed or shot. MS-13 had killed 11 people in Northern Virginia alone since 2000.
MS-13 is well known for their brutal machete attacks, rising membership, and intricate structure. The gang was formed by ex-guerillas who fled the civil war in El Salvador in the 1980's. MS-13 cliques are renowned for drug dealing, murder, exporting stolen cars, etc.

MS-13 is also widely known as the gang involved in raping two deaf girls, 17 and 14, in a park in Somerville a few years ago (http://www.deaftoday.com/news/archives/001391.html). It happened right near my house and I've been paid attention to MS-13 ever since. Several machete attacks in East Boston as well by MS-13 members. These guys are bad news and are definitely here in Boston.

I LIVE IN CINCINNATI BUT I KNOWN ABOUT MS 13 WHEN I LIVED IN LOS ANGELES AND IS NOTHING NEW TO ME BUT PEOPLE HERE IN THE MIDWEST OR THE EAST COAST HAVE NEVER HEARD ABOUT THEM HERE IN OHIO THERE NOT THAT MANY IF THEY ARE HERE THEY DONT HANG OUT IN THE PLACES I GO SO THATS BETTER

MS-13 are not all bad. Some could be nice it depends who you chill with or talk too. Yeah they kill do drugs that's not a lie, but them all being a bad person that's not true. I know because I was dating a member. One of the leaders. Him and I were always together and lived together and he never ever treated me bad. Never hit me, never yelled at me. He was so sweet to me and we only had 2 years together. The first time that I remember meeting him he wasn't a guy who just wanted to have an adventure with a girl like some of his other friends do. He was a guy that had something serious with a girl and some one that he would love. So I know that not all MS-13 members are not bad 'cause I've lived with one and experience how they really are. So some of y'all people are wrong about them. Y'all can't tell me anything because y'all haven't gotten to know some members like I have.

I agree with the person that said that not all MS13 members are not bad.I know this because my boi is a member and he treats me right and i've meet his clique and they been tight with me and i've gotten to know them for about 6 years and they are not all doing bad things.They just do something when somebody messes with them or messes with some memebers of the clique.
