Pub Crawl An Tua Nua: St. Patrick's Day

000_0002.jpg

Of all the bars in the Kenmore Square area, An Tua Nua has provided Bostonist with some of the most eye-opening moments in Boston this year. Despite the trench coat mafia bouncers, shootings, death threats from belligerent sullies, and corny BU kids, Bostonist keeps coming back to this corner bar because the bartenders and waitstaff are pleasant.

Today, traditional Irish food is on the menu as well as an Irish band at An Tua Nua. There will be a bring-it-on style Irish jig battle on the dancefloor, so be sure to get loaded on Jameson. This Irish Bostonist detests Irish food mainly because it means everything is boiled. So come to An Tua Nua if you want to get sick and die and leave a big salty corpse. P.S. Parking was ample.

It's a groin-grabbingly good time!

urf. i used to live next door to that bar; every thursday, friday, and saturday nights there'd be a racket out on the street at 2am when it closed. eventually i took to filling a water pistol with soy sauce and shooting the crowd from a darkened window, which was effective in dispersing everyone, but now that i think about it was sort of psychotic. oh well. i regret nothing!
