Stuff to do this Weekend

bridge2.jpgWhile most Bostonians are nursing a huge Irish hangover this afternoon, others are looking for something to do this weekend. Bostonist has scanned the scene and come up with some options for you.
March Madness hits the Worcester area this weekend, with the first round of playoffs held at the DCU Center (since when did it change from being "The Centrum"?) where games are already in progress. A few of today's teams include Big East champs Syracuse and equally strong UConn; the winning teams of today's four games square off this Sunday afternoon. Bostonist is aware that tickets are obviously scarce, but you could head to Worcester and cheer your team on from one of the "interesting" bars out there.
So, maybe basketball is not your thing. How about something on the opposite end of the spectrum? Tori Amos is at the BU Barnes and Noble in Kenmore Square tonight to sign copies of her new memoir, "Piece by Piece" as well as her CD, "The Beekeeper." It's free and it starts at 6 p.m.
If swing dancing is more your thing (or the thing you always wanted to try), the "Boston Tea Party," which is the city's biggest swing dancing event all year, is happening this weekend. Social dances, workshops, and competitions for beginners through the advanced, go down at the Danvers Mariott. They have day and weekend passes (and student passes too) and the event goes through Sunday.
Were you an "In Living Color" fan back in the day? If so, then you remember this funny man before he started appearing in Hollywood films (he only reviewed them as Antoine Merriweather). David Allen Grier is doing stand-up at the Comedy Connection in Faneuil Hall every night this weekend. Tickets are $20.
And let's not forget the most drunken parade in Boston each year. This year's 105th St. Patrick's Day parade in South Boston is this Sunday; it starts out at the Broadway T-stop at 1p.m. and weaves it way through Southie, ending at Andrew Square. Wear your green and your drinking shoes. It's going to be a long parade.
