Big Ups To Big Digits

Big Digits are two dudes based in Cambridge, who, in the wise words of their website: "write and play music to party to." It's probably the most apt description for this pretty fantastic duo who rap and do more over insane sounding electronics and music. Bostonist can freely admit that Big Digits singlehandely snapped Bostonist out of a state of cynical jadedness and back into realizing how much good music is going on locally.
It's a fun-as-hell spectacle that's worth going out to see live and energetic, and you have ample opportunity on Thursdays in April, where they're curating a residency at Zuzu.
This week there's local dance synthologists Cassette and the intriguing Alan Astor, who's based in NYC and fights his ipod, complete with saxaphone. Upcoming weeks will have bands like the well-named Awesome Brothers and Heloise and The Savior Faire Dancers. Complete with dancers! Wow! Check out Big Digits' website for more details. It's April, the cruelest month. It's time to dance!
