Even though it's not THAT long since the last World Series, it SEEMS like a long time ago. This movie should have come out much sooner than now.

so i saw fever pitch this weekend, and were it not for the nice shots of boston and the red sox winning the world series, the movie was just ok. the first half hour (maybe even the first half) of the movie is kinda dull. the second half picks up and is funny here and there, but it's not terrific.

the boston stuff is really authentic. some nice shots of salem st and the back bay where the characters live and the esplanade and of course, fenway. it looks like most of it was shot on location. any movie with some nice shots of boston and a reminder that the Boston Red Sox are the 2004 BASEBALL WORLD CHAMPIONS is going to make me pretty happy, though.
