Veronica Mars Is At My Local Mall

XL_VM03cast.jpg
Veronica Mars is the best quippy cute high schooler on television since Buffy Summers. No joke. Veronica Mars swings like vintage early Buffy, but instead of demon fighting we have a teenage private eye trying to solve the mystery of her best friend's murder. The show is noirish and funny and a thoroughly satisfying watch. You may have missed it thanks to the fact that it's on Tuesdays at 9 PM on UPN.
Give it a chance, though. It's really addictive and what Bostonist enjoes is that it feels like an hour, as if you're getting your money's worth because there's so much intrigue and story going on.
Veronica Mars is played by starry Kirsten Bell, who is soon to be seen in Showtime's Reefer Madness. (You may recognize her from the end of Pootie Tang) If you take lunch a little bit later today, you can go to the Cambridgeside Galleria at 3:30PM and meet up with Kirsten and the rest of the class, including Enrico Colatoni (you may know him as the studly photographer from Just Shoot Me), and the hottie "teen-boy" actors that flesh out Veronica's world. Fun fact: cast member Francis Capra, who plays bad boy biker Weevil, is distantly related to It's A Wonderful Life director Frank Capra! Details are a little vague, but there will be autograph signing and picture taking.
