There are some good things that the smaller B&J's is doing inside of the larger organization...you're right to point out that profits would trickle up. Ben & Jerry's is part of Unocal, a huge conglomorate which is implicated in propping up the military junta in Burma so they can push an oil pipeline through. I'll eat the ice cream anyway, but at this point, I'm not sure you can get away from bad corporate behavior -- you'd practically have to boycott breathing.
