Harry and The Potters are awesome. Generally, a persual of their site or their myspace page or friendster listing sends Bostonist into fits of giggles.
What's their schtick? Brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge are Harry Year 7 and Harry Year 4, and they get together and sing songs about the potter-verse like "Save Ginny Weasley!" This Saturday at 1PM, bring your Potter-obsessed youth to The Middle East Club for an all-ages afternoon show headlined by the Potters. Who else is playing? Joe DeGeorge's other band, Ed In The Refridgerators, who have a new album called Ed In The Refridgerators Get Excommunicated! which has songs like "Pope Dance Party." Also playing are the mysterious Uncle Monsterface and the sublime Ponies In The Surf, who Bostonist wholeheartedly recommends. It's a rare chance to see Harry And The Potters in the rock club, as they usually go around and play at libraries.
