Good and Bad News

WBZ_7DAY.jpgBostonist would like to ask: What the hell is up with the weather? Being New Englanders, we can all expect the weather to throw us some curve balls here and there, but this is getting ridiculous. Does the sun not shine in the Hub anymore? After this past weekend being another washout, making it the fifth in a row, Bostonist was hopeful that things would turn around before the long holiday weekend. Well, according to the weatherman last night, all looked promising for the Memorial Day weekend forecast: sunny and in the 60s. Bostonist just checked in with its friend Barry Burbank again and now it's looking to be another rainy, cold end of the week. Never mind the high wind advisory and flood watch throughout the week as we see a classic Nor'easter blow thru the city.

Now Bostonist doesn't want to be such a downer on this Monday afternoon (which happens to be so cold, one can see their own breath); on the bright side, gas prices in Massachusetts are an average $2.13 a gallon. This is only 6 cents more than this week in 2004. This would be even better news if we were all planning on heading to the beach this weekend. Start praying now for some sunshine toward the end's week. Bostonist can't take another day of wearing a sweater...it's almost June.

I know that this is the 5th weekend in a row that it has been raining because my sister has track meets every weekend and complains to me about how it is so cold and wet. i don't mind the nor'easter that is hitting us right now because i love rain. My friends think i'm crazy. I am actually going to Cape Cod this weekend to stay at my family's cottage and it may be a little chilly and wet but i don't care i love it!
