Mystery Solved?

Back in January Bostonist was watching a story about four Chinese Nationals that were reportedly headed for Boston. The sky seemed to be falling and the terror threat level was on the verge of breaching orange. There had been reports of people wondering the city with Geiger counters making Bostonians feel as though there may be some kind of nuclear threat they weren’t telling us about. Mitt Romney even flew back from DC, missing out on the pomp and circumstance of the second inaugural celebrations. On May 12 the mystery of the chatter seems to have been revealed with the sentencing of Christian Delgado Gomez. In a story coming to Bostonist from San Antonio the four undocumented Chinese Nationals may have been those on board a Cessna piloted by Gomez. Gomez was arrested on January 24 and pled guilty a month later to one count of transporting an illegal immigrant, an additional three counts were dropped for his plea. He was sentenced to six months in jail and a $500 fine.

Back in January the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency assured Boston that everything was going to be alright:

...representatives from six or seven state agencies were on duty at the state emergency bunker in Framingham -- far fewer than the 30 or 40 that would be present during a full-blown emergency activation.
"We're just really at this point in a monitoring mode," Judge said. "We'll stay active through the night tonight, until this thing resolves itself."

Engaged in a War on Terrorism Bostonist has found ourselves cowering under our beds more often than we once did. Reports of Cat Stevens as the cause of plane diversions and a lone 22 year old (Gomez) involved in an immigrant smuggling operation using a Cessna (those monsters of terror) are cause for us to climb out from under the bed and wipe the dust bunnies off our clothes while we laugh at ourselves.
