Come on Arlene: Big Relief Edition

At this moment, you mean everything
Apologies to both Dexy’s and Save Ferris, but do you feel that? It’s cool air and a breeze. Coming back to work after a late morning brunch, Bostonist noticed something with which we’d so quickly become unfamilliar. Seems like spring, not winter and not summer but that something in between. In the past few days stores across Boston have been selling out of fans. The window, oscillating, and "box" variety are all now vacuous holes on retail shelves, ceiling and sox fans, however, still seem to be in ample supply.

Today the heat is breaking, at least until next week. Our favorite weather outfits have been reporting that some sort of backdoor cool front is responsible for the quirky weather that gave us a hot and steamy commute this morning and promises an enjoyable afternoon. What once was tropical storm Arlene, the first of the named storm systems this hurricane season, and is now only remnants of a tropical depression has come our way, and brought cool air with it. We may see some rain this afternoon or even a thunderstorm or two, Bostonist hopes we’re not alone is saying that anything is better than H-H-H.

You have failed in your mission to make fun of shitty canadian bands, dude. Why can't HHH link at least to a picture of the dude from hot hot heats' awful hair?

yeah...umm...i'm pretty sure that HHH stands for "Hazy, Hot, and Humid" and not Hot Hot Heat. plus, Save Ferris is from Orange County and Dexy's Midnight Runners are from the UK.

so, unless i'm missing something...what the hell are you talking about?
