Women Reading, Pens You Can Be Buying

CorssPostercopy.jpgWell this sounds new and cool: tonight at 6PM at the Cross store in Harvard Square, four ladies from the new Boston Ladies Arts Society will be reading from their creative endeavors that drive them on. All four of the names should be familiar to you through freelance assignments, for example, have you ever read a well thought-out music piece in the Globe by Sarah Tomlinson and thought, boy, I wonder what this writer could do with a novel set in the rock n' roll milleu? It's likely to be pretty on-target and smart and you can hear from her completed novel "Because The Night." Cool! Other readers include former Stuff At Night editor Darcy Scanlon reading poetry along with Bree Rolfe, and D'lynne Plummer will be reading from her non-fiction work about a humorous trip through Outer Mongolia on horseback.
In addition to hearing some hard-working local writers share their work, you can also get 15% off Cross goods, so you struggling writers out there can pick up a snazzy laptop case or something of that ilk.
