Burn One Down

Bostonist loves Ben Harper's fire and so do a lot of others: he plays to a sold-out crowd at Avalon tonight. A double-Grammy winner (for "There Will Be A Light," his recent album that paired him with the legendary gospel group the Blind Boys of Alabama), he has sold more than 7 million albums worldwide and is backed by his five-piece band, the Innocent Criminals. Also, Harper's website is nice. Bostonist was checking the setlist from the show at 9:30, and Harper played 30 songs! We also learned that the capacity at Avalon is 1850.
