It's Been a While

city-hall_sooz.jpgAfter being entertained by Werner Herzog’s new flick, Grizzly Man, but not particularly impressed we’re going for broke on free media push-delivery this week. Chalk it up to Bostonist’s philosophy that it can’t be that bad if it’s free, we’re heading to see the Staind show on City Hall Plaza after work today. The Fusion Flash Concert, which Staind spilled the beans about the date on their website a couple weeks ago, has officially been announced for tonight with doors opening at 6 p.m. The concept of a Flash Mob seems to have been lost a bit with all the hype we've heard thus far. This little band from Western Mass that made it big is coming to Boston in hopes of s successful launch of their fifth album, Chapter V. It hit’s stores today as well. Maybe we haven’t been listening to enough of the hardcore rock/pop crossover, ok, we didn’t listen to it that much before the jump either, but Staind has fallen off the Bostonist radar. But again, it’s free, and it’s today. In a promotional atmosphere for a major rock group’s free concert we hope they’ve partnered with someone to give away cold drinks to help us with the heat, but that might be asking too much. With all the real estate enveloped by the City Hall Plaza it’s nice whenever they at least try to fill it with people.
