Most Wanted Hanging in the North End

Soutar_Mic-prim-lg.jpgPoor Michael Robert Soutar, 46, of New Mexico. He was just having a nice, relaxing afternoon with his girlfriend on the yacht Aquna-Matada, which was docked in the North End marina, when the Massachusetts State Police arrested him. It turns out that Souter is wanted for tax evasion, racketeering, embezzlement, and lots of other bad business stuff; he had started a business to help artists sell their work in New Mexico but ended up selling local residents fake shares of the company. America's Most Wanted featured his story in April when he escaped work detail in Albuquerque; someone tipped authorities off that he might be on the East Coast. Souter will remain in Massachusetts until August 31st when he will have his day in Boston Municipal Court. New Mexico is working on a warrant from the governor that will bring Souter back to the state. Bostonist must ask: if you are on the run from police, why hang out in the North End, which has been filled with them after last week's exploding manholes?

After reading just your headline, I was trying to figure out where and when the North End's public scaffold had been erected.
