The fun thing about Google is that if you know what you are doing, it's easy to become the number one search result of almost anything you want to be. Audiocrush, the band, has a horrible web site and so, Audiocrush, the podcast, has the honor of the number one search result on Google, a coveted spot is which rewarded to those with quality content and wide appeal. Audiocrush does not live up to the honor of this number one spot but with a little work it could be a great show.
The problem with Audiocrush is they devote a large amount of time to sitting around and recording their conversion. This has become some what common in the new frontier of podcasting and is not the easiest format to do. You need to be extremely funny to convince others to stay and like so many comedians will tell you, comedy isn't easy. Audiocrush's "witty banter" isn't unbearable but it's not enough to make you want to listen to the show. If Audiocrush is anything it is very organized as they do create a outline and spend time thinking up different segments for the show.

The music is what stands out in Audiocrush as they have some very good independent rock playing though it is not played often enough to be a music show. Like many other podcasts, good music does improve the quality of a show and Audiocrush is encouraged to play more of it. On top of the music there are also audio confessions where people anonymously confess anything they want. This comes from one of the hosts' websites, GroupHug, where people can submit written confessions. At this point the written confessions are much more interesting then the audio confessions but hopefully this will pick up in the future.
This seedling of a podcast, only 4 shows, has a lot of growing and developing until they become one of Boston's best but they definitely have the potential to make it and Bostonist wishes them the best of luck.
