Bostonist Overheard: Round 2

Last week, before we started shedding tears of sorrow for the Red Sox, Bostonist had overheard some stuff in the city. We asked if you had overheard some things to. Apparently you had.

Crazy guy sitting alone at outdoor table by City Hall Plaza Starbucks As ugly as I am, people still love me! I'm not angry.

Two twenty-somethings walking down Newbury Street
First Girl: I'd rather have cancer than be pregnant.
Second Girl: I don't know, cancer kind of sucks.

Two students who seemingly attend a prestigious local university stop to look at a world map. The map is cluttered with passport photos, names, and hometowns.
Person 1: It is kind of fun to find out where everyone is from.
Person 2: Yeah, ‘cause, you know, then you can start to stereotype them.
Person 1: Totally

When passing a stranger in the evening on a dark Somerville side street October 5th
Stranger: Hey!
Stranger: Are you interested in the Red Sox?
Reader: Yes.
Stranger: Well, they're up two points to nothing in the second inning.
Reader: We say "runs," but thank you.

Officemate1: Martha Stewart is a spokeswoman for PETA?
Officemate2: Apparently synthetic fur “is a good thing” but she wont stop popping the pot roast.

This one Bostonist overheard wished we caught the rest. We were wicked curious.
Guy: …wait, so HOW MANY times did you touch it?
Girl: Don’t you remember? You were so there. I have all these marks but I’m thought you…
(The girl was pulling up her sleeve)

Bostonist wants to know what you’ve been hearing in the Hub. Has the Cat Lady approached you, perhaps asked you if you’re running for President? Somebody placing an order for something and you only caught an out of context snippet. Send them to bostonistoverheard at gmail dot com. We will only print your name if you ask us. Tell us whatyour fellow T-riders, co-workers, relatives, and friends have said…who knows, Bostonist might have actually been right down the hall.

Have you guys seen this site? (I am assuming this is where the idea for the Overheard in Boston feature came from.) Either way, it is a hilarious site.
