Boston University Makes Certifiable DJs

cdia_bu_logo.gifThis week Boston University announced that their Center for Digital Imaging Arts will now offer a 9 month (two semesters) program to receive a Certificate in Recording Arts. It will take a little more than completion of the program to become the next big producer. A little more like a stack of cash. But the Boston University program will offer a certificate to those completing the training in music, audio, and video production techniques. Bostonist can’t help but think that the lack of desirability of the CDIA’s Waltham campus location might be negated by the street cred one might gain behind the board at a big show, or in the studio tweaking the release to drop like it’s hot. logo.gifBU promises an interactive, hands-on experience, though not quite as real life and hands-on as 18 year old Joe B.'s wish come true will be next Tuesday, October 25th at the Paradise Lounge. The make-a-wish foundation has helped Joe to produce an album, "Call it Fall", and is hosting a free release party at 5:30 p.m. next Tuesday. Everyone is invited to come and give Joe and his band mates the rock star treatment.
