It only took a few short months for Alex Reimer to get attention for his Red Sox podcast. At the young age of twelve Alex flew to LA and appeared on Jay Leno to talk sports. Too bad Jay calls it an internet radio show instead of hyping up the podcast name. Jay Leno or not, Boston loves its sports and Without a Curse is a good way to relive this season.
Without a Curse is a Red Soxs podcast hosted by twelve year old Alex Reimer who is one of the most well spoken youths Bostonist has come across. The show is produced cleanly with good audio and a great theme song. A short podcast, often only ten minutes, Alex knows when to end a show not letting it drag on longer then is needed. While the music is great in the background it changes volume quickly and really distracts from Alex's talking. Alex also makes the mistake of reading URLs on the air. They don't roll off the tongue and the best way to handle URLs are to just point people to your website where show notes can be provided.
The truly sad thing about the show is that it seems to be about 50% fluff. Half the show ends up being song intros, reading URLs, advertising their host My Sports Radio, or just reminding people that he was indeed on Jay Leno. Alex seems to have the personality and knowledge to have a great show but currently is not producing enough content of interest to keep people coming back.

Thanks for reviewing "Without A Curse". I'm definitely intersted in chatting with Stefan to go into more detail on the review, as we always strive to deliver the highest quality shows at MySportsRadio.com Especially that reading URLs thing--I produce every show and have no idea what you're referring to.
We've had nothing but high praise for Alex's delivery and content, and quite contrary to your final statement, people keep coming back. Check out the Without A Curse message boards to see what listeners are saying about Alex and Without A Curse.
Hey, BTW, I had a wicked hard time finding this posting on your site because it's not tagged in the sports category... if it weren't for that, you'd have a 5 out of 5! ;-)
feel free to email (alt255@gmail.com) me any time. My email is always on the staff page.
I think MT can only have 1 category at a time. A hard choice indeed!
