Bostonist does National Novel Writing Month

NaNoWriMo.gifSeasons are changing and Boston is preparing to enter the gloomy winter months. There is no reason to let the weather get you down with so much to do in November. This coming month is National Novel Writing Month where people from around the world write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days or less.

As it is stated in No Plot? No Problem! the only thing between you and a novel is a solid deadline. The best way to set that deadline is to tell so many people that you are going to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days that you would be too embarrassed to fail in that endeavor.

Would you like to join the fun? There is still plenty of time to join, simply sign up at the NaNoWriMo (yes it's a mouthful of an abbreviation) website and if you still have time pick up a copy of the book. It's a quick read and will get you wicked excited about writing a novel. Author Chris Baty is such a pathetic example of procrastination and inability to focus that if he can finish the month with 50,000 words so can you. Also Remember to check out the Boston section of the forum where you can find all the local action and join up for writing marathons.
