  • Remember Reel Big Fish? Bostonist vaguely remembers “Sell Out” as the “jam” at one of our high school dances, so if you feel like reliving those memories and seeing what they have been up to the in post-Ska movement of the late 90s you can check them out at Axis tonight at 6:30 PM ($18.50)

  • Ryan Cabrera, formerly of Ashlee Simpson boyfriend fame, plays Avalon tonight at 7:00 PM. It appears to be sold out but Bostonist is sure that if he is your style you have already secured your ticket and carpool to the show.

  • Go listen to student vocalists at Berklee for Singers' Night under the direction of Robin Mcelhatten and the Singers Night Team at 8:15 PM.($5 - $10)

  • For a chill night of easy listening (kind of reminds us of a low key Arcade Fire and the instrumental portions of the Royal Tennenbaums soundtrack) go check out Andrew Bird at Downstairs @ the Middle East, accompanied by Anticon recording artist Dosh with special guests Head of Femur at 8:00 PM. (18+, $13adv/$15 door)

If you're watching the sell-outs there's Hot Stove, Cool Music Coming up on Jan 8th at the Paradise. Theo's still on the roster there even if he's dumped the sox.

 

Sigur Ros tickets went on sale today for their February 7 concert at the Orpheum. Buy them now, before they're sold out.

 

Thanks to Jon and Lyndsay for the heads up on the other concerts... I am going to work on beefing the list up a bit more for the next installment - keep an eye out!
