Food makes the world go round.
Felipe's turns our frowns upside down.
We are well aware that many may turn their noses up at what has been called "the ugly step sister" of Anna's Taqueria, but for us, it is all about cheap, quick, easy, tasty food available into the wee hours of the morning - and that is where Felipe's enters our lives.
After a long night at other fine Harvard Square establishments (did someone mention the Kong?), there is nothing better than sinking your teeth into a piping hot chicken quesadilla with extra salsa, guacamole, sour cream, and peppers.
Many may remember a day when a lesser (and far less frequented) Mexican establishment inhabitated the same space (Real Taco anyone?) - but thankfully Felipe's came to the rescue of many a Cantabrigian (permanent or temporary). Boston's own Weekly Dig summarizes the perks and experience well: "Felipe's Taqueria offers a completely filling and exceptionally tasty meal, without mauling your wallet. The staff is chatty and upbeat, and delivers their goods in the blink of an eye. For those famished souls wandering around Harvard Square with a couple of bucks and only a few minutes to spare, Felipe's Taqueria comes highly recommended as a quick, savory fix to any empty stomach."
Felipe's is located at 83 Mt. Auburn St, Cambridge MA and you can give them a call at (617) 354- 9944.
