Yankee Swap that Ex

You might remember that Boston was named second best city for singles a while back. Well if there are lots of single people dating out there, that means there must be a lot of exes out there, too. If that sounds like you, Bostonist has discovered a holiday hot spot for the dating elite out there. If you head to Gypsy Bar on Thursday, Dec 1st between 6-10p.m., you can attend the 2nd Annual Yankee Swap Your Ex. You read that right; you can get a date and do it right in front of your ex! The event is sponsored by the The American Liver Foundation, which is charging people $25 dollars a person to attend.

Fortunately, you don't have to bring someone who is actually your ex, which may have prevented you from having a good time (how would they go about checking that anyways?) The real benefit in bringing a single friend of the opposite sex is that you'll get into the party for 30 dollars total (instead of 50), which is quite good considering there will be lots of singles and free appetizers all night. If you already have a steady significant other, note that couples are also welcome but are encouraged to bring friends of the opposite sex. Last year there were 350 people in attendance. While you don't have to bring your ex to this Holiday Single's Party, this would be a great place to meet your future ex.
