Watergate Journalists speak Monday at the Kennedy School

Bostonist could not believe our eyes when the weekly JFK Jr. Forum calendar "pinged" into our mailbox - next Monday, December, 5 at 6:00 PM none other than Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward will be part of a panel discussion entitled, "ANONYMOUS SOURCES: Lessons Learned."

Back when Bostonist was just a wee little News Editor on our high school newspaper, the book and movie All the President's Men made us believe in the power of journalism. We thought we could conquer the seemingly insurmountable task of figuring out the deepest secrets of our school administration, only to realize that there were no secrets, and that people really wanted to read about the Homecoming Parade; however, our love for Bernstein and Woodward remains.

Regardless of our love affair with the two men who broke the Watergate scandal, you too should be sure to attend this discussion on Monday. It is not a ticketed event (which we are sure that the Kennedy School will regret soon enough) so we suggest arriving well before the 6:00 start time to ensure quality seating. (A note: worst case scenario you can stream the video later that evening from the IOP website) Bostonist is particuarly eager because of the topic "Anonymous Sources", we wonder if this has anything to do with some recent news buzzing around Washington.

For more information on the event visit the IOP website.
