We Gave Clay a Bad Name

bonjovi_lg_photo.jpg.gifPerhaps not a huge fan of Clay, Bostonist is a fan of the contest. We, and we think you, like free stuff and that feeling of being special. We were reminded today of the Bon Jovi show that we gave away a pair of tickets to back in mid-October (congrats Pyng, enjoy the show!). The concert sold out for the Garden pretty quickly, but looking out the window today we think there may be a few no shows and some scalpers with tickets discarded by North Shore Bon Jovi fans who will make the wise decision not to make it into the city for the show. We don’t encourage scalping, but if you really want to see the show, check the ‘list, or hang out in North Station and see what you can find.

If you want a low no cost way to see Bon Jovi, on the same day he is appearing here in Boston, check out the free show on Amazon’s holiday a-list for hurricane releif. The group gifted the production cost of a new video to charity and recorded a live performance to release instead. They’re encouraging you to give to Habitat for Humanity so you can be just like them. After we blatantly dissed the Aiken “Claytacular” earlier this week when we popped open the a-list we found there to be a behind the scenes look at the Joyful Noise 2005 Tour (that’s JNT2 for those of you in the know). Clay was featured as artist of the day yesterday. We may or may not have insinuated that he might still be in the closet, and encouraged him not to hide there. The folks at the Clay Report (is it like the Colbert Report? WARNING: site is full of all sorts of browser slowing media) have sent many a Clay faithful our way. Now we know that those velvet tones of the runner-up may not belong to a gay Clay, for all we know he is hetero. Bostonist does know someone who’s ‘out’, the Rocketman was artist of the day for December 6. Congrats on the wedding Elton, Bostonist hopes your Civil Partnership will be a happy one. We’re glad to see that England followed the Bay State lead on making unions legal, even if it’s not called marriage.
