The Smaller the Better

smallspacebigstyle.jpgAfter dropping $479,000 on a 450 sq. ft. condo what is one to do with it? Pimp it out and show it off. Bostonist just got word that Small Spaces, Big Style a show that airs on HGTV is coming to the Hub to film a few episodes. We know that there’s no way Manny’s pad is under 1,000 sq. ft., we’d imagine that Brady’s new digs aren’t either (well, the real Tom Brady anyway). But we have a lot of good friends living in newly Ikea-ed spots all over the city. But can Bostonist attest to their hip-ness, finished qualities and demand for Home and Garden Television’s national audience? Maybe just a few. They’re looking for all sorts of living spaces from homes, condos, apartments to houseboats, dormrooms, and yurts.

Yes, they specifically identified yurts as valid applicants, though frankly we’re dumbfounded thinking about a stylish yurt. The caveat is the space must be under 1,000 sq. ft., finished (it's not a makeover show), and “make the most of the limited space.” We’ve turned in our two nominations: The (now departed) Littlest Bar and the Skinny House. Bostonist is interested in this one, and if we remember we’ll let you know when the Boston area spots make the broadcast. In the meantime drop us some pictures or post us a link to your flickr stream if you think your quarters fit the bill. To sign your house up fill out this ever-so-professional looking form.
