Having spent some time in London, certain Bostonist staff members have formed an unnaturally strong affection for tea, and especially tea with milk (although there are certain teas that you shouldn't add milk to, but we digress.) Back in the day we were able to hop on down to our favorite local tea provider and pick up loose tea that was beautiful, eco-friendly, and development sound (part of the proceeds from each sale went back to the community where the tea was grown). Realzing that this is all a faint dream now, Bostonist had to get real - and this is where TeaMap.com enters the picture.
TeaMap.com offers a listing of tea rooms and providers across the US, but has a decent selection of Boston-based venues, there is a little history with tea and Boston after all. It is by no means comprehensive, but it is something - and we find ourselves wasting a few moments each day tracking down the location and selection of tea at tea rooms in the area. Visitors can rank establishments based on Variety, Artistry, and Service.
