Keep the D in Storage

RIP_term_D_2006.jpgWhile you were sleeping last night Logan International underwent a change. They took down Terminal D. Well, ok, they didn’t take it down, they just officially annexed it as part of Terminal C. Last night and early this morning the changes were made in what’s been reported as a blitz of sign changing from Terminal D to Terminal C and renumbering of the few gates the former terminal held. Bostonist has been watching as more and more of the overall Massport reworking of Logan has been completed, we’ll be real sad if they close our “secret exit to Eastie” that lets us slip out of the Airport without paying a toll. Though it’s a bit confusing to us now that the succession of terminals is A, B, C, E there is consolation knowing that they’ll be bringing back Terminal D in 2007. It will replace the Terminal E designation that now exists. Perhaps they’re trying to ease us into it, perhaps it is just to toy with our emotions. We sincerely hope that they don’t go and expand into a new terminal building all together, though if they did we would suggest the academic letter system: A, B, C, D, F. Terminal F would house all airlines responsible for near collisions on the runways, or was that the air traffic controllers fault?
