<description>&lt;p&gt;I was in London last month, and their subway fare system has commuters breezing through with RF cards - you don&apos;t even need to take them out of your wallet, all you need to do is hold the card within an inch of the reader and it&apos;ll let you through.  

Typical Boston that the Charlie Card system&apos;s technology is already well over 10 years ancient.

Oh yeah, and can anybody explain to me why they don&apos;t sell monthly passes in the actual T stations???&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;i am admittedly loving the charlie card. it would now just be nice to have working buses that don&apos;t catch on fire in the summer and don&apos;t start in the winter and for someone to go &quot;wait a minute, this green line thing.... it&apos;s not really working out is it?&quot;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
