I worked at Zathmary's until the day it closed and unfortunately there are no hidden "mini zathmary's" , as many of the people that worked there were immigrants from Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina who can't afford to live in Brookline. The day it closed we were told that the principal investor (NOT Michael zathmary) had a stroke and his lawyer told him to sell off his shares in the company.. not sure whether this was true or not, all I know is that a lot of semi-skilled workers and their families depended on a paycheck from that place, and were kicked out in the cold that day.

While it is unfortunate to hear about Zathmary's, having to go to Zaftigs is no reason to drop your jaw, they are awesome!

Zathmary's was a great option when I lived in Coolidge Corner. Hopefully the Clubhouse and Boca Grande and others won't be following.
