Just in case the 106th annual St. Patty’s Day parade doesn’t satisfy your thirst for Irish fun, join Bostonist on March 16th for the Saw Doctors show. With the Dropkick Murphys show sold out, Bostonians can head over the Roxy on Thursday to get their energetic Irish fix by a group of pure-blooded blokes.
More of a workout than concert, The Saw Doctors get fans moving. With songs such as “Tommy K” which initiates audience members to do a YMCA like dance and “Hay Rap” where the melody progressively speeds up commanding a fast frenzy of audience foot work, plan on wearing sneakers. In addition to toe-taping tunes The Saw Doctors also provide a healthy dose of beautiful ballads like “Share the Darkness” and “ Clare Island” dedicated to love, life, and of course Ireland.
Once a little unknown local band in Tuam, Galloway, the Saw Doctors are now considered the most successful rock band to emerge from Ireland since U2. Celebrating the release of their sixth studio album, “The Cure” the St. Patrick’s eve show will certainly be a perfect time to grab a pint and party down with some real Irish guys.
Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster. The Roxy is located at 279 Tremont Street. Show starts at 8pm, doors open at 7pm.

I will SOOOOOO be there. I've seen them I've seen them in Chicago, New York, Columbus (OH), and Indianapolis - more than once in some of those places. They are like CRACK to me... or craic, as the case may be. Here's me with Leo the last time I saw them:
