Juggle Mania II

ZachWarren.jpgBecause we’ll still be feeling the effects of the Guinness, we’re looking for something a little subdued for Saturday. We’re thinking that might just be MIT’s Juggle Mania II at 6:30 p.m. in Room 54-100. If WrestleMania II is any indicator of the caliber of mania-sequels, we’re in for a Steel Cage Match – with knives and fire.

Sponsored by the MIT Juggling Club, proceeds from the t-shirt sales and raffle (rest assured, prizes for the raffle will include at least one unicycle) will sponsor the Afghan Mobile Mini Circus for Children, an organization that educates and entertains children in war-torn Afghanistan through performances that encompass juggling, storytelling, puppet shows, gymnastics, theatre, clown comedies, music, painting, kite flying, sports, and soft fire works.
Along with MIT’s very own “madd skilled” students, hired guns will include Peter Panic and Zach Warren (friend and personal hero). Zach has been making Hub headlines since last year while juggling and riding his unicycle. In November he broke the world record for joggling a marathon in Philly. Right, j-o-g-g-l-i-n-g - a cross between juggling and jogging, wherein the competitor/showman/circus-performer runs while juggling, doing both the whole time. Well, at least we think the whole time, we didn’t watch the whole 3 hour tape Zach gave us. We’re taking this Saturday’s performance at MIT as an indicator of what we might see from jogglers on Marathon Monday.
