Bostonist loves the little signs of springtime and impending summer: Over the last week, the dogwood in our yard has gone from bare branches to blazing white blooms to bright green leaves; rowdy high schoolers have emerged from wherever they spend the winter months to re-populate the park near our house, drinking and carousing by the trees behind the basketball courts every night until the SPD breaks up their party; Basketball courts and baseball diamonds all over the city are once again full of kids and life. But to us, nothing signals the coming beach weather like, well, a beach towel. We saw this awesome tropical one hanging out to dry yesterday morning near a construction site in the South End.

Week Around the Ists, November 1–7

I am so lucky that it's a work from home day. The windows are open, the breeze is coming in. I don't think I'll get much done "working from home."
