How long has it been since the Boston Herald ran a punny, animal-related headline? If you ask Bostonist, even one day is too long, and as far as we can tell, it's been much more than that (over a week, by our count). Luckily, the drought is over, as today's edition of the paper that's strong as ever despite selling off its assets features this fabulous example of the art: "Fundraiser shows who's paws-itively top dog on catwalk." Wow. The staff at that paper is truly tireless in its search for phonetic feline puns. Is there anything better than living in a two-newspaper town?
Image: In 1999, the Reading Standard, of Reading, England, outdid even the Herald with this story about an inventor who wanted to bring a robotic cat on a plane with him. The caption includes the word "Miaow-vellous."
