Coldcut with Blockhead & DJ Signify
DJs Jonathan More and Matt Black, aka Coldcut, have been at the forefront of the UK breakbeat, experimental hip hop, and underground elcectronica scene since they dropped Ofra Haza's vocals into their landmark 1987 remix of Eric B and Rakim's "Paid in Full." And their new album Sound Mirrors has the press gushing about a return to cutting edge form. Join the two man wrecking crew as they celebrate the 10th birthday of their indie label Ninja Tunes (Kid Koala, Herbaliser, Amon Tobin) and more recent imprint Big Dada (Roots Manuva, Spank Rock). It's pronounced "Sun," and they perform wearing hooded cloaks. This avant-drone doom metal band's reputation largely rests on producing bass lower than you can hear but heavy enough that you can feel it, and it feels evil.
