Free Art on Boylston

Wenner gets a start on his latest.

Fresh from doing a mega-impressive piece at E3, Kurt Wenner has landed in Boston and can be seen working on another piece of anamorphic floor-art near the entrance to the Prudential mall - right on Boylston. Wenner's latest work is for Dunkin' Donuts in support of their launch for the new Dunkin' Smoothies. Also with Kurt is a sampling truck in case you wanted to try a free sample of said smoothie(s). They're not bad, but like the commercial says, they really are a meal replacement. Bostonist has had one and those things fill you up.

For those of you wondering who Kurt Wenner is - you've more than likely received email with some photos of the guy's work. He specializes in floor art that when looked at from on-coming angles will mess with your mind. Go check it out if you're looking for an excuse to get away from work.

  • ooh, that guy is AMAZING. Can't wait to see the finished piece! However, it is sad when art is subverted for commercial purposes... even a cause as worthy as the dunkies smoothie...

the smoothies have 68 grams of sugar in them, which is like 15 teaspoons of sugar, which makes them seem kind of gross in a delicious sort of way.
