Bostonist has a lot in the past about gay marriage, and we thought we were done beating that particular dead horse. Unfortunately, with things going badly in Iraq and corruption taking center stage in Washington, the President has gone and revived the issue, once again holding up Massachusetts as the activist-judge inhabited Gomorrah that Bostonist always dreamed of inhabiting.
But this time, Bostonist will resist the urge to blather on in our unabashedly partisan way and instead focus on something upon which we can all agree: Everyone should stop talking about limiting marriage to "one man and one woman"! It makes it sound as though there might be a constitutional amendment limiting marriage to only two people at all, ever, in the whole country. That's even dumber than just banning gay marriage. So please, conservatives of the Commonwealth and the nation, when you advocate for your bigoted position, make sure to say that you want a constitutional amendment that limits marriage to "heterosexual couples," or to "couples comprising a man and a woman," or to "no faggots" ('cause that's what this is about, isn't it?), not to "one man and one woman." Unless that's what you mean.
