<description>&lt;p&gt;In San Francisco, we have something even worse -- a group with clipboards and red shirts that asks, &quot;do you have a minute to help the childen?&quot; They don&apos;t wait for passers-by; they approach you when you&apos;re waiting for a bus and can&apos;t walk away. And even worse, they don&apos;t have that unflappable Jonestowny cheeriness -- if you say no, sometimes they flip out and get verbally abusive. So ... MassPirg could be worse, is what I&apos;m saying.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;While at college in Minnesota in the mid/late 90s, I remember that MPIRG there was similarly aggressive to the Boston-are brethren. They bombarded our wee student-run campus newspaper with pre-fab articles on a routine basis, and were pretty argumentative when we would decline to run them.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
