OMG A Laptop

Last week an episode of zefrank's The Show had resonance for the current state of the War on Terror. The message was that without terror the terrorists couldn't win. It was in response to the news out of London that a plot to blow up airliners on transcontinental flights was foiled. The ability of the potential terrorists to strike fear in the population, empty their Frappachino's and toothpaste into the trash, and cause delays at Heathrow through today is the mark of their strength, even if their intentions were not realized. The group of individuals plotting to do whatever it was they were hoping to do was able to affect travelers worldwide.

Today on Atlantic Avenue terror took a toll on productivity. 695 Atlantic Avenue was evacuated of its residents as something suspicious was investigated. The City sent fire and police units to the scene to make sure that there was no danger to the area near south station. Around noon they discovered that the item in question was nothing out of the ordinary, rather it was a regular old laptop. The scene was cleared after investigation – but it's certainly an indication that reactions are amplified.
