Focus On: Lobbying

The legislature may not be in session, but someone out there is still trying to get a message across to lawmakers. Frankly, we're not sure exactly what the message is, but its placement on a sign on Bowdoin Street right across from the side entrance to the State House suggests a political motive.

"we're not sure exactly what the message is"

Clearly this is saying that only heterosexuals are found in the crosswalk, as in: Warning, you won't find any homosexuals in the crosswalk!

That's kinda scary!?? But it might be scarier if it said "Homosexuals Only."

Mr. Skin: You misunderstand, methinks. It is clearly a warning (diamond-shaped sign) and it clearly says heterosexuals only. Hence, not scary, merely informative: if you want to find homosexuals, there's no point in looking in this crosswalk.
