Same Spot Murder, Partially Solved

We have been trying to tune it out. Boston may or may not still be on a ten-year record pace for fatal shootings. It's hard to think about, even if there's been only one fatality in August. There isn't a good reason for any of it to happen. It is both saddening and maddening. There aren't a whole lot of details we've been able to unearth about the situation, but on face value the July murder of Analicia Perry is perhaps the most tragically touching. She was shot while lighting a candle for her fallen brother. Her death occurred on the same day, in the same spot as her brother, only four years after him. Boston police arrested another 19 year old today in the murder of Perry. The suspect was being held on $350,000 bail after pleading not guilty at his arraignment. They're still looking for another suspect in the murder investigation. Today's arrest gives hope that at least some of the more visible and touching cases in Boston are being solved. It seems so many are reported when they first happen and we hear little if any follow up on the situation.
