Menino's got himself a redesigned website, a city-sponsored podcast, and his name on everything from the Zamboni at the Frog Pond to the (ähts) festival this weekend. But the Globe noticed that there are a few fakester profiles up on myspace of Menino. Mumbles Menino appears with an animated gif of his stock headshot talking. One of the best text representations of a Menino phrase on the myspace page is "Posston Mazzuhchewsits" we can almost hear it coming out of the Mayor's mouth. But the real focus of the article was that Tommy is generally unaware of his online image. As they report (emphasis ours):

When Menino was shown photocopies of the webpage -- because he has no computer in his office and the city's computer software blocks the sites -- he was surprised at some of the content.
'Yeah, I'm a swinger,' Menino said. 'Give me a break. I've been married for 40 years.' He also pointed out that he doesn't smoke or drink, and doesn't have a favorite television show.

We enjoy a good spoof page now and again. And we're happy to see that hizzonah is in good company with Mitt and Ted. But it's odd that he can't access myspace from work, does that mean he's actually working all day?

The Globe tries to show online cred in their piece. Instead they're photocopying web pages. We searched hard for a picture of someone photocopying the Internets. Couldn't find it. We'll use this image found on the Menino fakester page instead.
