HeyLetsGo Won't Be Rained Out

We posted about a big party that the local startup event/social site HeyLetsGo was planning for Fenway. We thought it was a good idea, but forgot that it's fall in New England and the weather doesn't cooperate with outdoor events this time of year. The threat of rain this evening (see picture. as of lunchtime it looks like rain is on the way) has moved the party across Lansdowne. The party will sprawl through Avalon, Axis, Embassy, and Modern. Rather than Gate B, a longer walk from the T stop anyway, the check in will be at Avalon.

When the party was still at Fenway we knew the focus was going to be on the game as the Sox face the Yanks in New York. But now that it's moved the ante has been raised a little. They're extending their offer of a free drink to everyone, and by "drink" they actually mean the adult kind. Jabe had been scheduled for a musical performance, he's still performing – but now has a win at the NEMO Music Maker competition earlier this week. The not to Jabe comes with a trip to Hawaii, a prime slot at NEMO later this month, and free Starbucks for a year. We expect a well caffeinated appearance. The short of it is that the event is still on, only the venue has changed. You can RSVP at their site until 4 p.m. to get on the guest list. Oh, and don't eat raw bagged spinach.
