In a world where there's nothing to do but watch movies.
In a city full of theaters, museums, and libraries.
One moviegoer who can be in three places at once.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Over Christmas dinner in 2003, our slightly tipsy Californian uncle admitted to having voted for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bostonist's incredulous cousin asked, "Dad, what the hell?" and he responded, "I like his movies!" This Bostonist loved T2, too, but we just sighed and kept it to ourselves.

Midnight, $9

Madame Butterfly
Once upon a time in Japan, Cio-Cio-San fell in love with Captain Pinkerton, who married her, got her preggers, and then promptly went home to get a real, American wife. This can only end in singing and ritual disembowelment.

Yellowbeard
If we hadn't already committed to post-voting plans of drinking Wailing Wench and playing Scrabble like a pirate (seriously, we already put hours into making extra "R" tiles), Bostonist would be celebrating International Talk Like A Pirate Day at our favorite movie theatre.
Brattle Theatre
10 pm, $9 (pirates get 50% of their tickets)
